DAVID I. ALLEY, P.E.

Biographical Information

President of Alley & Associates, David is a nationally recognized expert in planning, engineering and constructing manufactured housing communities, recreational vehicle parks and large tract developments. During the past 36 years he has been responsible for the engineering design of more than 200 subdivisions, condominiums and/or rental housing communities throughout the United States. Due to his national acceptance as an authority on economically oriented engineering and zoning, David has been a frequently published author. David Alley is co-author of a book entitled Development, Marketing and Operation of Manufactured Housing Communities published by John Wiley & Sons, Inc. The book is the only comprehensive guide for manufactured housing on the market today. He is also co-author of a book entitled Navigating the Manufactured Housing Zoning Process published by the Manufactured Housing Institute.

A civil engineer with over 36 years experience throughout the United States and abroad, David is a Registered Professional Engineer in 23 states. He is a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers, the American Consulting Engineers Council, the Florida Institute of Consulting Engineers and Florida Engineering Society.

David attended the University of North Dakota where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, and attended the University of Minnesota for graduate work in the field of sanitary engineering.

David Alley first established his professional planning/engineering firm and land development company in 1968.

A member of the Land Development Committee of the Manufactured Housing Institute, he has often lectured at universities, participated in seminars and written articles about manufactured housing land planning and development in business and professional magazines. He is a former Staff Member of the Hardison Institute.

BARBARA ALLEY

Biographical Information

Vice President and managing partner of Alley & Associates, Inc. for more than twenty years, Barbara is head of the Due Diligence Team. She is a contributing author to the book How to Find, Buy, Manage, and Sell a Manufactured Home Community published by John Wiley & Sons, Inc., in June, 1996.
