Tip: Fast Select

Type FS on the command line or it can be used transparently (Use 'FS at a Select Objects: prompt.).

Select an object. (Command behaves like it is selecting links of a chain.)

When FSMODE is OFF only objects touching the originally selected objects are selected (Only adjacent links in the chain)
When FSMODE is ON all objects touching other objects are selected. (All links in the chain)

 

Examples of useage.

• Use FSMODE ON to test alignment geometry before defining alignments. When all geometry is highlighted after picking one entity in the alignent you have lines and arcs that are suitable for defining a horizontal alignment (provided their endpoints touch).
• Use FSMODE ON to check lots and surface boundaries for closure.
• Use FSMODE OFF to check tangency of lot lines to right of way lines.
